Brown, Barbara D., a longtime resident of North Tustin, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2013 at the age of 94.

Barbara was born in Los Angeles on December 29, 1918. She was the youngest of four children of Salt Lake City homebuilder Clark Orral Dunshee and Mary Lindsay Dunshee. After her father died in 1923, her mother moved the family to Beaver, Utah. Later, the family moved to Maplewood, New Jersey to live with her uncle. Barbara worked as an executive secretary in New York City before and after World War II. During World War II she was married to a pilot who was lost in the war. In 1951, she married Roy F. Brown and they moved to Tustin in 1958 when he was transferred to Orange County by his employer, Beckman Instruments.

Barbara was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She had been active in charitable activities for the Jack & Jill Guild of Children's Hospital of Orange County, and in support of Providence Speech and Hearing Clinic, Orange. Barbara was predeceased by her husband Roy in 1997. She is survived by her sons, Roy D. Brown of North Tustin, David Brown and his wife Marybeth of Dana Point and their children Kevin, Lindsay, Jennifer and Tim, and Clark Brown and his wife Stacy of Athens, Georgia and their children Hayley, Clark Jr. and Aidan. She is also survived by her nieces, Barbara Sauer of Maui, and Holly Henry of Morgan Hill, California.

A funeral service will be held at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Tustin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2013.
