Mrs. Nettie Rhoda Becknell Owens, age 96, of Sparta Road, McGrady, widow of John Owens died Friday, Feb. 8, 2013 at Villages of Wilkes
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, at 11:00 at Mountlawn Memorial Park with the Rev. Carl Elledge officiating.
Mrs. Owens was born in Owsley Co., KY, on Apr. 10, 1916, to Henry L. & Martha Ellen Ball Becknell. She was a member of Baptist Home Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband & parents, Mrs. Owens was preceded in death by all her brothers & sisters.
Mrs. Owens is survived by two daughters, Patricia Bumgarner & husband, Dan of McGrady & Sandra Sue Reeve & husband, Bruce of Raleigh; one granddaughter, Sandra Nicole Bumgarner of New York.
