Services for Jimmy Dale (J.D.) Harvey were held Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, at 10 a.m. from John E. Stephens Chapel.
The Rev. Dennis Cleveland officiated. Interment followed in Old Pearl Valley Cemetery.
Mr. Harvey, 75, died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at his residence in the Arlington community, where he had lived for 37 years.
Mr. Harvey was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Thomas Harvey Sr. and Maude Lee Cox Harvey; daughter, Carla Chrine Calcote; brother, Oscar Thomas Harvey Jr.; sisters, Beatrice Tompkins, Hazel Kirsch and Lois Ashby; three granddaughters; and one great-grandson.
Survivors include wife, Wyvette Harvey; daughters, Judy Harvey, Tammy Harvey Reed, Joan Harvey Atkinson, Ramona Harvey, Kathy Busby and Christina Burt; sons, Billy Harvey, John Harvey, Wendell Smith-Walker, Charles Smith-Walker and Chris Smith; sisters, Meta Mae Shoemaker and Agnes May; 26 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Josh Long, Josh Burt, Wendell Smith-Walker, John Harvey, Larry Thompson, Ronnie Hancock and Norman Reed.
