George Alexander Nofal, 66, died Friday morning at his residence at 1301 Madison Ave, Florence. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30p.m. Sunday in First Presbyterian Church by Dr. W.G. Foster. Burial, directed by Waters Funeral Home, will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Mr. Nofal was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., a son of the late Alexander B. and Annie Safy Nofal both of Sidon, Lebanon. A resident of Florence since 1921, Mr. Nofal was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Hampton Lodge No. 204 AFM, the Florence Country Club and the Salem Club. For the past 46 years, he had been employed as a salesman with N. B. Baroody Co.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Jeannette Baroody Nofal of Florene; three daughters, Mrs. Thomas E. (Sandra) Anderson Jr., Mrs. John T. (Ginger) Sullivan and Miss Tippi Nofal, all of Florence; two sisters, Mrs. W. G. Baroody Sr. of Florence and Mrs. C. Roger Bennett of Danville, Va.; two brothers, Philip A. Nofal of Florence and William A. Nofal of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and two grandchildren
