Adlee began her education in a two room school house on Jones Street in South Charleston, WV.
At a very young age, Adlee accepted the Lord as her personal Savior and was a dedicated member of the Westside Church of Christ, until she transferred to the Olivet Missionary Baptist Church.
Adlee was united in holy matrimony to Clifford W. Henderson, they shared over sixty years oflove and friendship until his death in February 15, 2004.
Adlee was employed at the Indiana School of Dentistry and later was an independent Housekeeper. She formed the "Good Deed Group" which assisted people in need, whether it is health, clothing, or financial assistance.
Adlee was an avid photographer, who never met anyone that she didn't want to take a picture of, not even a stranger. She would often tell you "if you didn't want your picture taken, you shouldn't have come out the house". Everyone could count on her to provide copies of the thousands of pictures that she had taken.
Adlee loved to listen and dance to many songs. One of her favorites was Marvin Gaye's "Got to Give It Up" and she would really chill to Brook Benton's "Rainy Night in Georgia". She would make sure her music was playing, as she sat, going through her pictures.
She is also preceded in death by her brothers, Early Coleman, Judson Coleman, and her sisters Berta Davis, Carrie Towns, Elizabeth Adkins, Arbutus Robinson, and Ruth Foster.
Adlee leaves to cherish her memories: daughter, Lolita Maria Bailey (Rick), son, Thomas Clifford Henderson; granddaughter Shuri Henderson Ahmad; grandson. Atticus Henderson; great-granddaughter Nya Ahmad; step-granddaughter, Lindsey Manning; adopted grandchildren, Laketta Hubert, Amanda and Aleesha Bullock, Melvin and Gwen Williams and a host of nieces and nephews.
Adlee touched so many lives that she was affectionately called by numerous names, "Grand", Morna Adlee, Lee Lee, Mrs. Adlee and NeNe.
