CAMERON, Mo. - Samuel J. "P-Nut" Bray, 87, Cameron, passed away on Feb. 5, 2013.
P-Nut was born on Aug. 1, 1925, in Cameron to Samuel Lewis and Lillie (Dice) Bray.
He was a graduate of Weatherby High School and served in the United States Navy during World War II in the Marshall Islands.
P-Nut was a life-long farmer, also doing custom combining in Oklahoma, Kansas and Texas. He was happy to have achieved his private pilot license.
He was a member of the Cameron United Methodist Church, board member of Shambaugh-Cope Cemetery, Cameron Co-op and MFA Oil.
P-Nut was preceded in death by his parents; son, Dennis Bray; six brothers and two sisters.
He married Pauline May Campbell on April 25, 1948. She survives of the home.
Additional survivors: son, Richard (Gloria) Bray, Maysville, Mo.; two daughters, Margaret (Wayne ) Schemmer, Cameron; Jeanne (Steve) Hurst, Cameron; six grandchildren, Tracy (Jason) Welch, Heather Schemmer, Angela (Miguel) Carrasco, Jason Bray, Jesse Hurst and Chelsea Hurst; seven great-grandchildren.
Service: 2 p.m., Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at the Cameron United Methodist Church. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday evening at the church.
Burial: Shambaugh-Cope Cemetery, Weatherby, Mo.
