Edna M. Maness, age 90, of Bonner Springs, KS passed away Mon. Jan. 21, 2013 at the Kansas City V.A.M.C. Funeral Services will be at 1 pm, Sat., Jan. 26, 2013 at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs, KS private committal to follow at a later date. Friends may call at the visitation from 11 to 1 PM Sat. Jan. 26 prior to the service at the funeral home.
Edna was born on November 21, 1922 in Sumner County, KS. She had lived in Douglas, KS before moving to this area in the 1970's. She was a Corporal in the US Army Air Corp and was a WWII veteran. She was a loving mother and very caring. She was the treasurer of the Fred and Ethel Howard Family Annual Reunion. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Edward W. Maness, Sr. in 2003 and 1 Daughter Marsha. Edna is survived by two sons; Fred Maness of Tonganoxie, KS, Doan Maness (Debbie) of Bonner Springs, KS and two daughters; Patricia Fincher (John) of Betavia, IL, Catherine Reid of Bonner Springs, KS. A brother Lloyd Howard of Douglas, KS two sisters, Catherine Meyer of Rock, KS, and Ann Tabor of Stratford, MO as well as 8 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren.
