Obie Antle, 80, of Lone Valley Road, Campbellsville, died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2000, in Campbellsville. Son of the late Claude Douglas Antle and Louella Biggs Antle, he was born in Taylor County, Ky., on March 16, 1919, and was a member of the Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Antle was a retired employee of the Taylor County RECC. He was married to Velma Scott on Dec. 21, 1941, who preceded him in death on Oct. 24, 1962. He was later married to Genevieve Wethington Spires on Feb. 4, 1966, who survives. Survivors include one son and two daughters, Dean Antle of Russell Springs, Jan Hayes of Campbellsville, and Joyce Wilson of Columbus, Ohio; one step-daughter and two step-sons, Margaret Mullins of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Tommy Spires and Len Spires of Campbellsville; four grandchildren, Cindy Wells of Columbia, Allen Antle of Fort Leavenworth, Kan., Kimberly Mason of Campbellsville, and Jason Wilson of Bowling Green; four great-grandchildren, Chris Stewart and Trae Wells of Columbia, and Morgan Mason and Madeline Mason of Campbellsville; five step-grandchildren, Christina Edrington and Gretchen Burton of Campbellsville, Jennifer Mullins of Seattle, Wash., and Tara Mullins and Nicole Mullins of Cincinnati; four step-great-grandchildren, Tyler Edrington, Mary Jo Edrington, Bryana Edrington and Olivia Burton of Campbellsville; one sister and one brother, Nan Biggs of Ill., and Harold Antle of Columbus, Ind. He was also preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
