Emerson, Bruce W., born Dec. 24th, 1924 in Livingston, MT., passed away peacefully Oct. 4th, 2008 in Costa Mesa, CA at the age of 83.

Bruce proudly served his country in the European Theatre during WW II with the US Army's 99th Div., Signal Company. He was in the "Battle of the Bulge" and was honorably discharged in 1945 as a Sgt. with numerous citations and decorations.

He then entered MT State School of Mines (now Montana Tech) where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum Engineering in 1949.

Bruce married Marlys (Jackie) in 1948 and remained married to the true love of his life for nearly 50 years until her passing in 1997.

After college he began his career with Baroid Corp. He traveled extensively during his career and was especially proud of his contributions to the successful completion of the Alaskan Pipeline. Bruce retired from Baroid as an Executive with 35 years service.

Bruce and Jackie were faithful worshipers at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Long Beach, CA for decades.

After retirement they traveled extensively and one especially memorable trip for them was to Norway to visit the birthplace of Jackie's mother Magda.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Alva and Edith and daughter, Susan.

He is survived by his brother, Ken of MT; sons [2]..; grandsons [2]..., ; nephew..., and niece....

He was loved by his family and his unconditional love in return to his family will never be forgotten. We'll miss you so much. Services were held Oct. 10, 2008
