Dorothy P. (Cooley) Lancaster, 94, of Clairton, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, in Michaels Personal Care Home, Clairton. Born March 11, 1918, in Fairchance, she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Ethel (Walters) Cooley.

A member of First United Methodist Church of Clairton, she was a retired salesclerk for the former G.C. Murphy Company, Clairton, a crossing guard for the Worthington area of Clairton and a senior companion for Allegheny County. She was a fanatic fan of Clairton High School football.

She is survived by daughters, L. Jean Angotti, of White Oak, Carol Lancaster, of Marrero, La., Betty Ann (Chuck) McSurdy, of Donegal, Dorothy Smoyer, of Bethel Park, Janet (Don) O'Dell, of Columbia, Md., and Shelby (Bill) Siler, of Clairton; son, William (Sheri) Lancaster, of Vicksburg, Miss.; 18 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; sister, Kathryn Miller, of Fairchance; brother, John Cooley, of Dayton, Ohio; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by sons, Ronald Lancaster, Allen Lancaster and Marvin Lancaster; sisters, Mary Alice Lindstrom, Gertrude Cole and Annanetta VanSickle; and brothers, Wilbur Cooley, Elmer "Bud" Cooley and Warren Cooley.

Friends will be received from noon to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, in the A.J. BEKAVAC FUNERAL HOME, Clairton. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, in First United Methodist Church of Clairton, with Pastor Hal Dangel officiating.

Burial will follow in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Township.
