WIFE OF GRANT B GORDON
CHARLOTTE MARIAN WATT ST. JOHN, IN Charlotte Marian Watt went home to be with the Lord on November 10, 2012. Marian was the widow of Cmdr. (USN-ret) Grant B. Gordon when she married her second husband, James C. Watt of Saint John, who was by her side at their home when she passed away. Marian is survived by her sons: Lauchlan and Gregory Gordon; son-in-law, Michael Cooper; daughter, Bonnie Cooper; and grandchildren: Chandra and Michael Cooper. She is also survived by a large, extended family through her second marriage, including step-daughter, Illa Jo (David) Donaldson; step-son Monte (Jean) Watt; grandchildren: Laurie (Brent) Mollema; Kimberley Donaldson, Dana Cunnington, Heather Watt, and Ian Watt; great grandchildren: Lindsey (Ben) Martin; David Mollema; Brent Mollema, Matthew Mollema, Danae Mollema, Orivana Donaldson, Taleyah Donaldson, Emily Cunnington, Thomas Cunnington, and Will Cunnington; and great-great granddaughter, Adeline Martin. Marian was predeceased by her parents: Howard and Myrtle Wheelock; and siblings: Gerald (Kay) Wheelock and Virginia (Robert) Denis, all of Wisconsin. A funeral service will be held Friday, November 16, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Burdan Funeral Home. Friends may meet with the family on Thursday, November 15, 2012 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Burdan Funeral Home 12901 Wicker Ave., Cedar Lake. Marian was born in Menominee, MI on February 24, 1920. She spent most of her childhood in Big Bay, MI and later moved to Oconto, WI where she married a young naval officer, Grant Gordon, during WWII. Marian received her R.N. from Bellin Memorial School of Nursing in Green Bay, WI and worked as a nurse in New York City during WWII. Marian was a Red Cross nurse, a member of the Guild for the Blind, a church deaconess, Sunday School teacher, and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Gideons. Marian was a beautiful, caring lady, always sensitive to the needs of everyone she came in contact with. She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed. www.burdanfuneralhome.com (Legacy.com)
