Beloved husband, father, brother and son passed peacefully January 31st at his home. David is survived by his wife of 34 years, Ann Lund, his four boys, Don Lund and his wife Dena Lund of Broomfield, Jeff Lund and his wife Brandy Lund of Red Rock, Arizona, Brad Lund and his wife Amy Lund of Wausau, Wisconsin, and Kevin Lund of Broomfield, as well as 19 grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother Shirley Lund, his brother Craig Lund and wife Anne Lund of Columbus, Ohio, his sister Nancy Pena of Austin, Texas, and many nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his father Harry Lund. Owner and founder of the Broomfield Donut Factory for three decades.
He was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, moved to Broomfield in 1953, he graduated from Broomfield High School in 1966 and held claim to the title of Broomfield's first ever paperboy in the late 1950's. David was best known as a gregarious, kind, savvy capitalist and business guru who was a former professional bowler, including a perfect 300 game locally at Tri-City Bowling. David also loved to play league and pick-up basketball at the Broomfield Community Center and often crushed the little ball as a member at Eagle Trace Golf Course. Services are scheduled to start at 10:00 a.m., on Monday, February 4, 2013 at Rundus Funeral Home, 1998 W. 10th AVE, Broomfield, CO, 80020. 303-460-1414.
