The funeral was Friday afternoon at Higgins Funeral Home. The Rev. Ron Lukat and the Rev. William F. Shouse officiated, and burial was in Riverview Memorial Gardens.
A native of Limestone County, Alabama, Mrs. Carter was the daughter of the late John Milton and Ella Amanda Bishop Tribble, and she was a member of Swan Creek Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Elsie Mai Bryant of Fayetteville and Mrs. Marie Bennett of Nashville; a sister, Mrs. Elma Sebastian of Detroit, Michigan; two brothers, Roy Tribble of Athens, Alabama, and Woodrow Tribble of Milton, Georgia; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren,
