Parents listed as living in Democrat. Baptized 4 Aug 1867 at Benton United Methodist Church.

Isabella M. Bird, aged eighty-four years, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Hulda Waldron, at Hammond, Louisiana, June 29, 1920, after a brief illness. Her remains were brought to Darlington, where the funeral services, conducted by Rev. J.A. Vincent, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal Church, were followed by burial at the family lot in Union Grove Cemetery.
She was of the old fashioned, sturdy stock that made this country possible. Was the eldest of eight children of Abraham and Hulda Looney, nee Bean. Of these children of her parents, but two, Henry and Abraham Looney, residing in Seattle, Washington, survive.
At the age of twenty she was united in marriage to W.J. Bird at New Diggings, in this county. During the Civil War she sent her young husband to the front and bravely kept the home fires burning and the little one's safe biding his return. Being a mother of the old school, her life was devoted to her home, family and the work of her Heavenly Father. She joined "The Little Church" at Aetna, near Leadmine, shortly after her marriage and always has been a devoted member of the Methodist Episcopal Church.
Following close on the death of her husband, about four years ago, failing health necessitated a change to warmer winter climate and the past three years were spent by Mrs. Bird with her daughter, Hulda, among the flowers and birds of Louisiana.
Five children were born of her, Charles H. Bird, now deceased, Mrs. Hulda Waldron of Hammond, La., Isabella J. Teasdale of Darlington, A.L. Bird of Kansas City, Mo. and William A. Bird, who died in infancy.
From out of town, A.L. Bird of Kansas City, Mo., Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Cottingham and Joseph Looney of Benton, Miss Elvie Mockay of Mineral Point.
