"He was a millwright; removed to Charlestown, Mass., and thence to Canterbury, Conn., where he was a prominent citizen and d. 26 Nov 1727.

***NOTE*** his wife's name was Mary- many records show he was married to Mary Meeker 1656-17118- who then m2 Moses Lyon m3 John Thorpe. However in looking at New England Marriages Prior to 1700- it clears shows Mary Meeker married a Samuel Adams that died in 1694. Also, shows Samuel Adams 1653-1727 married a Mary (Maiden Name Unknown)****

***TOMBSTONE PHOTO**** per FaG member Jim -The marker photo here is for James Adams b. 1775 - he and his wife Alice Bradford are both buried in the Bradford Cemetery.

Samuel Adams (b. 1652) - I have not been able to verify where he is buried but it may be here. Samuel is the GG Grandfather of James (marker photo).*****

**a death date for Samuel of 27 November 1727. His will was probated on 4 November 1727! The marker is that of his supposed great, great grandson. **

suggested Middle Name may be James
