CORINTH - Laura Ophelia Elizabeth Mullins Wooten, 92, died Sunday, March 27, 2005, at the Mississippi Care Center in Corinth. She was born Sept. 14, 1912, in McNairy County, Tenn., to David Emmitt and Rosetta Floyd Mullins. She was the oldest member of Tuscumbia Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher, church clerk, training union director and treasurer. She enjoyed working in her flowers.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Tuscumbia Baptist Church with the Rev. James Wooley and the Rev. Warren Jones officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorial Funeral Home of Corinth is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include a son, Herman Ray Wooten and wife, Patsy, of Corinth; three daughters, Lewell Jarnagin of Corinth, Bettie W. Rogers and husband, Collin, of Kossuth, and Jean Wilkins and husband, Jesse, of Glen; two sisters, Ruth Hively and Rachel Wooten, both of Corinth; a special friend, Libby Michaels; grandchildren, Gina Rogers Smith and husband, Alan, Robbie Rogers Coleman and husband, Scott, Jolene Wilkins Fretwell and husband, Brandon, Justin Carroll Wilkins, Max King and Eric Jarnagin; great-grandchildren, Audriana Smith, Slater Smith, Annaleigh Coleman, Darbie Coleman, Braxton Fretwell, Bryce Fretwell, Jillian Fretwell, Bmily King; a foster granddaughter, LeeAnn Mitchell and husband, Steven, and children, Lyndsey, Stanley and McKenzie.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Herman Wooten; a daughter, Shelia Jane Wooten; her parents; two brothers, Leonard Mullins and Leton Mullins; two sisters, Alice Dunn and Hester Mullins; and a son-in-law, Larry Jarnagin.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons, Justin Wilkins, Slater Smith, Alan Smith, Scott Coleman, Brandon Fretwell, Eric Jarnign.

Honorary pallbearers will be Audrey Clyde "Moon" Mullins, Bobby Wayne Mullins, Gilbert Wooten, Robert Dunn, Billy Gene Hively, Alexander Wooten, Randy Talley and the men of Tuscumbia Baptist Church and the Tuscumbia community.

Memorials may be made to the Tuscumbia Baptist Church Building Fund, 138 CR 523, Corinth, MS. 38834.
