Arminda Lowe Vires was the daughter of Fountain B., Sr., and Judy Staton Lowe, and grandson of Nathaniel Brown and Rebecca Stanley Lowe, and Charles and Nancy Keesee Staton. She married James Roscoe "Vires, son of Reuben and Lucy Vires on November 15, 1894 in Pike County. Their children were Rebecca Jane, Fountain, Charlie, Lucy, Okie, Vista, James "Bub," and Kermit.
When Jim died in 1946, he was put on the family cemetery in the head of Big Branch, where Charlie, Lucy, and Okie are buried. When Arminda died in 1965, the family had her buried in Apple Orchard Cemetery.
