He was a son of the late Frank and Mabel Warren Benchoff.
Mr. Benchoff was a member of Wesley Chapel, Fairfield. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. Benchoff was a life-long farmer in Montgomery County. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias and a life member of the Fountaindale Volunteer Fire Company. Mr. Benchoff played guitar with the Blue Ridge Pickers and played in nursing homes in the Central Pennsylvania area.
He was the husband of Harriet Frush Benchoff for 66 years and also surviving, in addition to her, are two sons, Dennis L. Benchoff of Lancaster and Brian L. Benchoff of San Antonio, TX; one daughter, Joyce Coder of Tellico Plains, TN; seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
