HANOVER Ruth I. (Decker) Heikes, 79, of 623 Boundary Ave., Hanover, died Tuesday evening at Hanover Hall. She was the wife of Glenn N. Stock, who died in 1954, and Andrew M. Heikes, who died October 1994. Mrs. Heikes was born Aug. 17, 1916, in Bonneauville. She was the daughter of the late Luther H. and Naomi M. (Shanebrook) Decker.
Mrs. Heikes is survived by a daughter, Glenda June Neiderer of Hanover; two granddaughters; a great-grandson; a brother, Charles Decker; and eight sisters, Blanche Beamer and Mary Hufnagel, both of Hanover, Jean Myers of York, Florence Lawrence of New Oxford, Mildred Klunk of Edgegrove, Shirley Kulynych of Thomasville, and Betty Kline and Elsie Kepner, both of New Oxford.
Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Larry M. Neff, interim pastor of St. Paul's "The Pines" Lutheran Church in New Chester. Burial will be in New Oxford Cemetery.
