Bennett Rites Set Wednesday

FAYETTEVILLE (RNS) - Funeral services for Lonnie Andrew Bennett will be conducted at 2 pm. Wednesday in the Gatewood Baptist Church by the Revs. E. L. Clover and B. S. Jennings. Burial will be made in the family cemetery.

Bennett, 79, Fayetteville Route 1, died at his home Sunday. Death was attributed to a heart attack.

A retired miner, he was a member of the Gatewood Baptist Church.

Surviving, are his wife, Mrs. Zettie Kelley Bennett; four sons, Jasper and Omer, both of Fayetteville, Calvin of Ballard, and Ernest of Jackson, Mich.; one daughter, Mrs. Carrie Wheeler of Fayetteville; 49 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

The body will be taken from the Dodd-Payne funeral Home to the home of Omer Bennett at 5 p.m. today and will be removed to the church one hour prior to the services.
