"MADISON — Mrs. Joseph (Catherine) Bauhs, age 87, of 6209 Mineral Point Road, died Wednesday, April 6, 1988, at the Oakwood Nursing Home, after a long illness. She was born on May 22, 1900, in Madison and was the former Catherine Esser. Mrs. Bauhs was a member of St. James Catholic Church since 1922, the Women's Catholic Order of Foresters St.
Cecilia's Court, and St. Mary's Hospital Auxilary.

Survivors include her husband, Joseph J. Bauhs of Madison; a daughter, Mrs. William R. (Eleanor) Walker of Madison; three sons, Reverend Eugene Bauhs of Stoughton; Howard Bauhs of Portage; Gordon and Kathleen Bauhs of Madison; a sister, Mrs. Marlon Thierer of Everett, Washington; eleven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, Raymond, William, Jacob and Reverend Joseph Esser; two sisters, Lillian Gugel, Adelaide O'Brlan; two grandchildren; Diana Walker and Mark Bauhs.

Funeral services will be held at St. James Catholic Church, on Friday, April 8, 1988, the Reverend William DeBock will officiate.

Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery."
