Mrs. Edna Gowe Of Owego Dies At Age 43 Years
Mrs. Edna Gowe, 43, wife of Donald Gowe of 104 North ave nue, Owego, died yesterday afternoon at the Tioga County Hospital where she had been a patient for the past week. A native of Scranton, she had been a resident of Owego for 10 years. She was the daughter of Edwin and Alice Quick Griffin. Mrs. Gowe was a member of the Clarks Summit, Pa.. Baptist Church.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Allen, stationed with the U. S. Army's 101st Airborne, Frankfort, Germany; and Donald, at home; her mother, Mrs. Alice Griffin of Nicholson, Pa.; two sisters, Mrs. Eleanor Britt of East Orange, N. J.; Mrs. Ruth DeRemer of Chinchilla, Pa.; two brothers, Frederick Griffin of Scranton; Walter Griffin of Nicholson; several aunts and uncles.
The body is at the Richards Funeral Home, Owego, where friends may call tomorrow night from 7 to 9. Funeral services will be held there Thursday afternoon at 2 with Rev. Floyd E. Richards, retired pastor of the Newark Valley Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Tioga cemetery, Owego.
