Morgan Stroh, World War I Veteran, Dies
Morgan Stroh, 50, veteran of World War I, died at 10:10 Saturday morning in Pittston Hospital following three weeks' illness.
The funeral will be held from the home of his sister, Mrs Arthur Luce, 306 Warren Street, West Pittston, with whom he lived, Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 with Rev Gordon L Roberts and Rev Richard A Rinker officiating. Burial will be in Pittston Cemetery.
Mr Stroh was born in Pittston, April 10, 1894, a son of the late Mr and Mrs Solomon Stroh, early settlers of the North Main Street section of Pittston. He was a member of West Pittston Presbyterian Church, Eagle Hose Company of Pittston, and John D Stark Post of the American Legion.
Surviving are four sisters, Mrs Frank Engel, Rennemade, NJ; Mrs Fred Bennetto, Wilkes-Barre, and Mrs Luce and Mrs Robert MacArt, West Pittston.
