Harold E. Blankenship, 80 of 129 Bergan died at 4:23 a.m. Friday at St. Francis Medical Center. He worked at Central Illinois Light Co. for 40 years, last as a foreman before retiring in 1972. He was a member of Sunnyland Christian Church.
Born May 16, 1908 in East Peoria to James and Annie Norris Blankenship, he married Evelyn June Davison March 30, 1932. Surviving are his wife; one son, Ralph of Peoria; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Four sisters and five brothers preceded him in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Davison-Fulton Western Chapel, the Rev Darrell Harrison officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will begin one hour before services Tuesday at the chapel. Memorials may be made to West Peoria Fire & Rescue Squad.
