Marian M. Hanish, 88, of rural Columbia City, died at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Miller's Merry Manor where she had been a resident since August 2005.

She was born September 23, 1923 in Allen County, Indiana a daughter of William and Lucy (Summers) Fulk. Her formative years were spent in Albion. She graduated from Albion High School.

A homemaker, she resided in Auburn many years, moving to Texarkansas, Texas in 2000 and returning to Auburn in 2005.

Her memberships included Order of the Eastern Star in Fort Wayne.

Surviving relatives include a daughter, Roxanne L. Schulze of Cold Spring, Texas; a son, Brian R. (Lisa) Bowers of Columbia City; two grandchildren, Amanda Schmidt and Sylas Bowers; and two great granddaughters, Faith and Ella Schmidt; and a sister-in-law, Marilyn Fulk of Laotto.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Cliff Fulk, Hugh Fulk and Robert Fulk.

The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne. The visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
