She was born in Illinois February 13, 1923 daughter of the late Robert and Josephine Bernhardt Lillie. She was a dry cleaning clerk and her late husband, James Lamar "Son" Bond (native of Butts County) owned and operated grocery stores. He passed away in 2006.
She was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Clayton County. Mrs. Bond enjoyed working word puzzles.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, 2 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.
Interment in the Cedar Rock Cemetery in Butts County.
