The death of Mrs. Amanda Mangham came as a shock to her many relatives and friends Wednesday at nine o’clock a.m. She had been confined to her home for some time with sickness, and death was expected for some time.
She leaves, besides a number of friends and relatives, a husband and four children. The children are J. W. Chambers, of Columbus, Ga., Mrs. Josie Hill, Mrs. R. T. Wadkins and Dock Mangham, all of this place. The funeral services were at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Josie Hill, conducted by Rev. J. A. Trimble, interment took place in New Harmony Ceremony at eleven o’clock Thursday.
