Sarah graduated from Leto High school in Tampa, Fla., completed a bachelor's degree from the University of Tampa, and a Master of Library Science from the University of South Florida.

She was employed as a reference librarian at the John Vaughan Library at Northeastern State University from 1987 to 2011. She loved the mission, politics, and mostly the people involved in library operations. She made scholarly presentations at regional, state, and national levels, and authored numerous articles.

Sarah was involved in drama in high school and later participated in many community playhouse productions. Some of her favorites included: "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest," "Arsenic and Old Lace," and "The Odd Couple."

Sarah was a talented social event planner. She planned anniversary parties for parents, family socials, NSU functions, and her all-time favorite holiday, Halloween. Sarah was equally comfortable talking to the university president or one of her daughter's classmates. She could always find something positive to say. Everyone liked talking to Sarah.

Sarah will be remembered for her intellect, quirky sense of humor, thoughtfulness, cherry pie, and her devotion to family and friends. She was an excellent mother and the best possible companion.
