Wanda Jean Campbell, 78, of Waco, passed away Tuesday, Jauary. 29, 2013. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Friday, Feb. 1, at OakCrest Funeral Home, Waco, with the burial following at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 31, at OakCrest Funeral Home.
Wanda was born in Fort Worth, Texas, to the late Rollen and Laura (Ingram) Hobbs. After completing her education, Wanda married Lonnie Lee Campell, in 1956. Wanda worked at Texas Coffin Co. for 25 years. She then went to work for the McLennan County Auditor's Office, where she worked for another 14 years, before finally retiring in 1999.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Lee Campbell; and brother, James Hubbs.
Wanda is survived by her sons, Gary Campbell and James Campbell; daughter, Janice Gilman and husband, John; grandchildren, Malorey and Dalton Gilman, James and Shelby Campbell, and mother, Carol, and Jacob Campbell and mother, Dina; great-grandsons, Cole and Layne; sister, Gayle Nunn and husband, Travis; brother, Rollon Hubbs; and many other relatives and friends.
