FRITCH - Raymond T. Boyd, 85, died Thursday, June 8, 2000.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Fritch Church of Christ with Richard Kasko, minister, officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Beatitudes at Westlawn Memorial Park by Minton / Chatwell Funeral Directors.

Mr. Boyd was born in Gorman and had lived in Fritch since 1976. He was a member of the Fritch Church of Christ and a retired Church of Christ minister. He also had worked for the Sanford / Fritch School District as a maintenance supervisor.

Mr. Boyd married Charlsey Forbess in 1934. She died in 1977. He married Melissa Ethel Hampton in 1979. She died 1999.

Survivors include a son, Darnell Boyd of Lometa; a stepson, David Hampton of Fritch; a daughter, Genell Maxwell of Borger; three stepdaughters, Lynette Hampton and Tonya Christian, both of Amarillo and Monte Dybedal of California; two brothers, Theo Boyd of Rising Star and Ottus Boyd of Ira; a sister, Norma Lee Wallum of Odessa; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79176.

The family will be at 2003 Hemlock in Borger.
