MUNCIE--Allen E. Winfrey, 50, passed away Tuesday at Ball Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.
He was born in Muncie, Indiana, and was a lifelong resident. He was employed by Ball Memorial Hospital in Maintenance. He was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Muncie Lodge #433 F.& A.M., Anderson York Rite, Anderson Chapter RAM #52, and the Monroe Township Conservation Club.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela (Elmore) Winfrey; parents, James M. and Jerlene (Hall) Winfrey; brother, James Winfrey (wife-Diana) of Muncie; stepson, Jason Morris of Eaton; sister-in-law, Paula Love (husband-John) of Selma; mother-in-law, Judy Davis (husband-Kenny) of Muncie; father-in-law, John Elmore of Muncie; five nieces and nephews; and three great-nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, and several aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Elm Ridge Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Elam and Rev. Chris Bunch officiating. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. with Masonic services held at 7 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Elm Ridge Memorial Park.
