William Thomas Hudson, Sr., 87, passed away on Monday, January 28, 2013. He is preceded in death by his wife, Frances and beloved daughter, Barbara; his parents Lewie and Mille Hudson; brothers, R. J., Junior and Sonny; sisters, Edith Walker and Helen Walker; great-granddaughters Callie and Harper.

He is survived by son, William Thomas Hudson, Jr. "Billy" and daughter Sharron White. Surviving brother is James Hudson. Grandchildren are Michelle Shaw (James), Robin White Martin (Jeremy) and Angela Hudson; great-granddaughters, Makayla Hudson and Jessica Hall; great-great-grandson, Jaiden Hall.

W. T. was born on November 16, 1925, in Sumrall, MS. He served in the Navy 1944-1946. He owned and operated W. T. Hudson Trucking until 1966. In 1966, he started W. T. Hudson Towing and Mechanics, Inc. Later he expanded into moving and setting up mobile homes and incorporated CB radio sales and installation.

He helped establish the Crystal Springs Rescue Unit, and was an honorary fireman. He attended and supported Springs of Praise Worship Center and supported various organizations and ministries.

He loved God, the church, his family, and country, and dedicated his life to the care of his physically challenged daughter, Barbara. As a mentor, neighbor and friend to all, he will be missed.

Donations may be made to the Salvation Army or to the Copiah Animal Rescue.

Visitation is Tuesday 5-8 and Wednesday 9-10, and celebration of life is 10:00 a.m. at Stringer Funeral Home, Crystal Springs, MS.
