In approximately 1930-1934, Isbelle Cummins brought home a young girl from the railroad depot. Isbelle said that her parents gave her to Isbelle because they could not feed her and take care of her. Her name was Dixie Della. She was raised by Isbelle and her husband as Dixie Cummins. I don't know if she was adopted or not. Records show Dixie living there in 1940. Next record of Dixie is that she married in Bernalillo Co, NM to William Franklin 9-1-1957. She is listed as a survivor at Isabelle death as Dixie Griffin. Records show that she divorced Griffin in 1974 and no other records have been found.
