Jerry Mac Brandon, 78, of Anderson died January 25, 2013 at Miller's Merry Manor in Chesterfield after an extended illness.

He was born March 8, 1934 in Vinemont, AL the eldest son of Asa Preston and Mary Lee (Nesmith) Brandon.

He graduated from Anderson College with a BA and a Masters of Divinity from Anderson Theological Seminary.

Rev. Brandon pastored at Crossett, Arkansas; Athens, AL; Eaton, IN and Vincennes, IN. He then worked for The Church of God World Service in Special Projects and Faith Promise for 26 years and retired in 1999.

He attended Park Place Church of God. He was a member of Anderson Morning Rotary Club and Kiwanis Club in Vincennes, IN. He was an avid sports enthusiast and was a loving and devoted grandfather.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Normarie (Elmore) Brandon of Anderson whom he married on June 12, 1954 in Vinemont, AL; 2 sons, Jeff ( wife, Ann) Brandon of Noblesville, IN and Barry Brandon of Fishers, IN; a daughter, Melanie (husband, David) Hicks of Greenwood, IN; 2 brothers, Asa Lee (wife, Joan) Brandon of Vinemont, AL and Don (wife, Janet) Brandon of Anderson; 8 grandchildren, Taylor, Zach, Jared, Chloe, Carlee and Peyton Brandon; Nick Renihan and Jeremy Hicks and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a infant son, Gary Brandon.

Funeral Services will be held at Park Place Church of God on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at 1:00pm with Drs. Dwight Dye and David Markle officiating. A private burial will take place in East Maplewood Cemetery at a later date.

The visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 from 11:00am-1:00pm at the church.

Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service handled the arrangements.
