Frederick Christopher Mader, the youngest son of late William H. and Anna Margaret Mader, passed away peacefully at his home on East Second street, at 12:15 o'clock on Wednesday after an illness of six weeks with heart trouble. He was born August 29, 1866 in this city. He received his early education in the local schools and later entered his chosen profession, that of the photographic business as an apprentice to the late F. W. Lawson. He has continued in this business for the last 25 years and his reputation as an artist has been well established. By many he was known as the "Baby Photographer", being particularly successful with children's photographs. On Nov. 30, 1898, he was united in marriage to Jessie Mae Armstrong, daughter of H. Arthur and the late Lavilla Armstrong. Their wedded life has been a most ideal one. Besides the devoted wife he leaves two sisters and three brothers: Barbara Hagemann, Lulu Mader, William J. of Cincinnati, Ohio, Jacob F. of Bucyrus, Ohio and Charles F. Mader. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Improved Order of Red Men, Fraternal Order of Eagles and Eintracht Singing Society.
