A native of Greenville County, he was a son of the late Robert Ross and Mamie (Davis) Ross and member of Edgewood Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Ophelia Davis Ross of the home; two daughters, Judy Bishop of Greer and Pamela (Gail) Andary of Simpsonville; one grandson, Brian (Allana) Bishop and two great-grandchildren, Justin Bishop and Hanna Bishop.
He was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services were held 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 28, 2013 at The Wood Mortuary Chapel, conducted by Rev. Walter Wood. Burial followed in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Visitation was held 10:00-10:45 a.m. Monday, January 28, 2013 at the mortuary prior to the service.
Memorials could be made to the charity of one's choice.
