BURIAL AT BRYAN FOR GEORGE ALLEN

Bryan – Funeral services for George L. Allen, 79, were held at Hillier Chapel in Bryan. Rev. R. L. Tumlinson and Rev. J. L. Bounds officiated. Burial was in Peach Creek Cemetery. Mr. Allen died at his home in Bryan Saturday.

Mr. Allen, retired farmer and stockman, had lived in Bryan 28 years.

Surviving are his widow; four daughters, Mrs. Leila Vincent, Mrs. Hattie Stevens and Mrs. Kyle Pearson of Bryan, and Mrs. A. W. Lipps of Stinnett; three sons, L. A. Allen and Barker Allen of Bryan, Milton S. Allen of Brownwood; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Mrs. Lizzie Prescott of Navasota; four brothers, E. E. Allen of Bryan, Will Allen, J. L. Allen and Earl Allen of Piedmont.
