The person filling out the death certificate may have confused Louis Hudson's mother's maiden name with the name of an uncle (Thomas Benjamin Carter; who when he entered the soldiers home in Kansas listed Louis of Villa Ridge, Ill as his next of kin contact. Louis Hudson's birthdate appears confused with that of his sister and may have been the result of an error in memory at the time he had given that information.
