Clarence Edward Adams, age 89 of Turtletown, TN passed away Thursday March 12, 2009. He was born in Cherokee County, NC and was a son of the late Arthur and Lillis Bell Adams. He was a member of the Word of God Tabernacle and was retired from the Tennessee Copper Company where he worked as a repairman. He was also preceded in death by brothers Willard Adams, C.A. Adams and Carl Adams and sisters Lorene Coleman and Minnie Bates.

He is survived by five sons: Ezell Adams and Leon Adams, both of Dalton, GA, Daniel Adams, Dennis Adams and Mitchell Adams all of Turtletown, TN; one daughter, Sharon Taylor of Turtletown, TN; sisters, Ruby Weaver, Irene Rose, Sarah Cole Alma Taylor all of Turtletown, TN and Dorothy Panter of Dalton, GA; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday, March 15, at 2:00 P.M. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Elder John Prater officiating. Music was by Mary Jane Trantham, Annette Collins and Doyle & Charlotte Letner. Pallbearers included David Adams, Dewayne Adams, Chuck Adams, Stacy Adams, Ted Brown and Matt Taylor. Interment followed in the Maple Grove Cemetery
