Virginia's first marriage was to Oliver Schmitt on April 22,1933 in Sullivan, Franklin, Missouri. They would later divorce in December 1934. Virginia's second marriage would be to John Frank Ellis on May 6,1938 in Linn, Osage, Missouri. They had 2 children- Delores "Dottie" and John Franklin. She became a widow in January of 1949 when John was accidently killed in a hunting accident near Willowville, Missouri. She, Dottie and John Jr. eventually moved to Colorado where other members of her family were living. Daughter, Dottie married in 1958 and soon moved to California, then Texas. Dottie and husband Beryl gave Virginia five grandchildren. Virginia loved living in the mountains in Coal Creek Canyon. She married again December 21,1963 in Las Vegas, Nevada to Roland "Frenchie" Roy. Then son, John married in 1968 and lived here in Colorado. She and Frenchie lived in Coal Creek until her death in April 1981. A Memorial Service was held for Virginia at her brother, Don's home in Arvada, Colorado a few days after her death. Frenchie returned to Maine where he had family; he passed away in 1984.
