ROBERT L. BOYLE, 88 - of Palermo (previously of Sea Isle City) passed away on Friday, January 25, 2013 at Crest Haven Nursing Home where for the past month he was lovingly cared for by the nursing staff after being cared for during his final years at home by his loving wife.

He was born in Wilkes Barre, PA, where he met his wife Sheila at the Spinning Wheel upon his return from the service. They later married on February 16, 1952 in Jersey City. He was a Veteran of World War II serving with the United States Army Air Force.

Mr. Boyle was a 1952 graduate of Jersey City Medical Center School of Radiology and retired as a Technical Administrator for the Middlesex Hospital Radiology Department For the past 15 years, he was the owner of Bob's Sports Stuff, a familiar sight at area festival and flea markets.

Surviving is his wife of 61 years, Sheila Boyle (nee McDermott) of Palermo, two sons, Robert F. and Michael Boyle both of Sea Isle City, three daughters, Kathy O'Neill (Michael) of South Seaville, Sharon Holt (James) of Sea Isle City, Mary Suhonen (Rodney) of Dennisville, grandchildren, Robert F. Baldini of Sea Isle City, Brian O'Neill of South Seaville, Megan O'Clisham (Tully) of Sea Isle City, Erin O'Neill (Ben) of Brick, Nicole Holt of Belle Plain, Lorye Craver of Ocean City, Sean Suhonen of South Seaville, Samantha Suhonen of Dennisville, great grandchildren, Kacie Holt, Joey Czarnecki, Luke Czarnecki, Jeremiah Craver and James Craver.

Friends may call Monday evening from six until eight o'clock at The Godfrey Funeral Home of Palermo, 644 South Shore Road, Palermo, NJ.

A Memorial Mass will be offered Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock from St. Joseph's RC Church, 43 rd and Landis Avenue, Sea Isle City, NJ where friends may call from nine o'clock until the time of mass.
Burial will follow in Cape May County Veterans Cemetery, Cape May Court House, NJ.

The family suggests those who desire send memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association Delaware Valley Chapter, 399 Market Street, Suite 102,Philadelphia, PA 19106.
