Harriet (Miller) (Bremer) Rhodes was born on December 3, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Harry N Miller (1892-1974) and Frances (Maloney) Miller (1893-1960).

She grew up in Chicago's Austin neighborhood where her parents ran Miller Brothers Grocery on Cicero Avenue. She attended Resurrection Grade School and was a graduate of Austin High School.

Harriet was married 1st to Richard Bremer, and she was married 2nd on November 20, 1977 to John J "Jack" Rhodes (1920- ).

Moving from Oak Park to Naperville in 1977, she was a homemaker and also worked for Belden Wire & Cable of Chicago, was a former member of Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church and was a current member of Saint Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, both in Naperville. And Harriet was a member of Cress Creek Country Club in Naperville and enjoyed golf, swimming, sewing, decorating and was known as a great cook.

She was 86 years old when she passed away on January 24, 2013 at the Edward Heart Hospital in Naperville.

Survivors included her 2nd husband; a married Bremer son; two married daughters; five stepchildren; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and other family members.

Mass of Christian Burial was at Saint Thomas the Apostle Church in Naperville, and burial was in Assumption Cemetery in Wheaton, Illinois.
