They had two sons born in Kentucky before settling in Barry County, MO where they had 6 more children. They traveled by covered wagon and settled with William Oscar, who was a stone mason, in Barry County, MO with her three sons. Land Records indicate her husband William Oscar purchased 31 acres in 1882 and 40 acres in 1890, all in Barry County. Remnants of the foundation to their house and spring house still exist on their original property.
