The funeral took place on Sunday afternoon April 18, 1915. An impressive service was held at the home conducted by Mr. Geo. W. Watson, assisted by the Rev W.E. Clough and the Rev. R.M. Stephenson. Mr. Watson spoke in a very earnest and impressive manner from the word "Mother" and emphasized the fact that a noble mother was a great blessing and that her memory should always be cherished. He said he had known the deceased for a long time, that she was highly respected by her friends and neighbors and had proved herself to be a king and affectionate mother. She had passed into the Great Beyond where hope bloometh into immortality and had left behind her the fragrance of an unselfish life.
