Services for Lucille Medley, 91, of Lubbock will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sanders Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Bob Fagan officiating. Burial will follow at Lamesa Memorial Park under the care of Sanders Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Lucille was born Jan. 1, 1914 in Fanning County. She married Denver Ray Medley March 6, 1932 in Durant, Okla. He preceded her in death Dec. 21, 1983. She moved to Lubbock in 1956 and worked for the Lubbock and Shallowater Independent School Districts in the school cafeterias for many years before retiring in 1985.
She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by a son, Donald Franklin Medley in 1956 and a daughter, Wanda Jolly in 1998.
Lucille is survived by: a son, Durl Medley of Lubbock; two daughters, Margie Barlow of Greenville and Linda Clemmer of Shallowater; a sister, Drucille Latimer of North Richland Hills; fourteen grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren.
