Mrs. Ethel Polston Agee, 84, of Campbellsville, Route 6, daughter of the late Mr. Thomas Polston and Mrs. Betty Simpson Polston, was born in Russell County, October 29, 1893. She died at 7:35 a.m., December 23, 1977, at the Taylor County Hospital where she had been a patient for the past four days. She had professed faith in Christ early in life and was a member of the Pitman Valley Baptist Church. She united in marriage to Mr. John L. Agee, August 29, 1909. He preceded her in death July 29, 1966. To this union two daughters and three sons were born: Tommy J. Agee died in infancy. Jasper Agee preceded his mother in death July 31, 1965. Surviving are Mrs. Dollie Lee, Mrs. Elizabeth Newton and Mr. James Agee, all of Campbellsville, Route 6. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren; thirty-eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; four sisters and three brothers: Mr. Herbert Polston of Columbia; Mrs. Ora Lee, Mrs. Beulah Irvin and Mr. Herlan Polston, all of Albany; Mrs. Maude Hadley and Mr. Johnny B. Polston, both of Jamestown; and Mrs. Pearl Pierce of New Castle, Indiana; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m., Sunday, December 25, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Chapel by Rev. Charles Lowe and Rev. Omer Farmer. Burial was in Brookside Cemetery.
