Alta Marie Brewster Lowe
Alta Marie Brewster Lowe, 87, formerly of South Center Street in Richlands, died Saturday, January 29, 2005 at Tazewell Community Hospital in Tazewell, VA following a long illness.
Born July 2, 1917 in Tip Top, VA, she was the daughter of Calvin Hill Brewster and Rosa Belle Bruster Brewster. She was a member of Layman?s Chapel Church where she had taught Sunday School for many years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Lowe, and four brothers, Deward, Emory, Bundy and Fred Brewster. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Beatrice Brewster, three nieces and three nephews, several cousins and many friends and neighbors.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, January 31, 2005 at 11:00 AM at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, VA with Rev. J. C. Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens on the Bluefield - Tazewell Road. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
