Lois spent her early childhood in Leduc in 1950 she relocated to Edmonton where she attended Nursing School at the University of Alberta. She graduated in 1956 as an RN. Eager to fill her mind she received her bachelors of Science, in addition she took several courses in Art Appreciation.
She was a free and adventurous spirit and moved to many places such as Hawaii, Vancouver, Dubai, Edmonton, Montreal, and Southern California. Lois loved the sub-tropical climate of California. She enjoyed the people and had many of nurturing friends. She found a comfortable church home and lived happily in OC until the early morning of November the seventh.
Lois was an extraordinary individual who had courage, strength, determination, and faith. She was determined to fight cancer. Lois was determined to live. She was confident that nothing could never end her life, not even death could separate her from the love of God. During the last week of Lois' life this was truly prevalent. She was grateful and blest to have the support of her sisters, friends, her family, and her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord.
Lois will be missed by her loving family, her sisters: Betty, Loretta (John), Carol (Ernest), and Judy (Kenneth). Her brothers: Lawrence (Gail), Norman (Helen), and Paul (Ruth). Her absence will also be felt by a myriad of others including friends, neighbors, and extended family. She was preceeded by three brothers, one brother in-law, as well as a sister in-law. Allen, Willard, Clarence, Kurt, and Dora.
The body of Lois has been cremated and scattered over her parents' graves in Edmonton. See will be returned to her native Canada, to which she always had a certain fondness for.
Epitaph:
Loving friend, confidant
Taught me to love since Jesus first loved her
Gave me hope, when hope was gone
Determined to fight, determined to live
