Deloris Butler Brown, 59, died Sept. 24, 2004, at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center and Heart Institute, Fort Pierce.

She was born in Greenville and lived in St. Lucie County for 45 years.

She was a member of Apostle Faith Church of Deliverance.

Survivors include her sons, Jessie Butler Jr. of Shreveport, La., and Dwight Butler of Fort Pierce; brothers, Elijah Bivens of Fort Pierce, Willie Bivens of Miami, David Bivens of Greenville and Eddie Bellany and Robert Bivens, both of Tampa; and sisters, Lillie Hamilton of Fort Pierce, Jean Jones and Bernice Williams, both of Miami, Inez Donaldson of McClenny, Betty Jennings of Lake Wales and Essie Mae Bivens of Greenville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Archie Brown; parents, Jessie Bivens and Essie Mae Mutch Bivens; brother, Eugene Bivens; and sister, Beatrice Smith.

Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Oct. 1 and from 9 a.m. to noon Oct. 2 at Sarah's Memorial Chapel. A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Oct. 2 at 13th Street Church of God.

Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
