At the house of the bride's father in this village, on the 12th instant, by Rev. J. Colton, Mrs. James Campbell to Miss Matilda James, all of this village.

James Campbell, who has been in very poor health for several months passed away at his home in this city Tuesday morning, at the age of 76 years. James Campbell was born in Scotland in 1836 and came to the United States in 1846. For a time he lived in Maryland and Pennsylvania and settled in Lafayette County, Wisconsin, in June 1849, at Gratiot.
His first occupation after coming to the state was that of farming and for a time was superintendent of the Lafayette County Poor Farm. He has been honored by several township offices and was a the time of his death Justice of the Peace of this city, having held this office for a number of years.
The funeral services will be held at St. Matthew's church this morning.
